Revelations about World War I: The Contradiction between the World System and the International System and its Consequences
After World War II, the United States, using its superpower status, meticulously built up a rule-based capitalist world system. This was a liberal international economic order. The means by which each country acquired raw materials through free trade was forcefully guaranteed by the international system. In the meantime, the United States completely changed the international relationship among the Western allies by providing them with broad security protection. This eventually led to Pax Americana.
Taiwan's Quest for Greater Participation in the International Community
Taiwan's ambiguous international status has long complicated its ability to participate in international organizations in which the rest of the world shares information and makes critical global decisions. The island's 23 million people cannot reap the benefits that derive from full membership in most international organizations and are unable to contribute their well-developed knowledge, skills, and resources to issues that directly affect them, such as civil aviation regulations, natural disaster response and recovery, and regional economic cooperation.
Political Game and State-Building: Outer Mongolia in the Field of 1911 Revolution
During the early period of the Republic of China, the relation between the central government and local government of Outer Mongolia was somewhat difficult. What's more, the Outer Mongolia's political identity was not strong to the central authorities. The Princes and Lama subsequently declared "independence". During that time, the Russians intervened in Outer Mongolia, and the situation had gradually become a political game among Russia, China and Outer Mongolia behind which the goal is to finish state-building.
