Singaporean scholar Huang Jing visited SAIAS
On December 7, 2013, Huang Jing, a professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore, visited the Collaboration and Innovation Center for China’s Peripheral Cooperation and Development at East China Normal University. At the invitation of Professor Feng Shaolei, director of the Center, Professor Huang gave a talk entitled “New Developments in China’s Peripheral Situation and Great-power Relations.” Drawing on his own research and professional experiences, Huang expounded his views on the recent changes in great-power relations and China’s security environment. These changes entailed several pivotal matters, including the future shifts in Pakistan’s security situation and their impact on China, the possibilities of Sino-Indian cooperation in maintaining regional stability, and the potential conflict of interests between Japan and the United States.
